Review Guidelines
Last updated: 5 May 2026
Scholaris reviews exist to help families, educators, and analysts make better decisions. These Guidelines set out what we expect of reviewers and how moderation works. They apply alongside our Terms of Service.
1. Who can review
You may review a school if you are, or have been, one of the following:
- A current parent of a student at the school;
- A former parent of a student at the school;
- A former student of the school;
- A prospective parent who has visited or interviewed at the school;
- An education professional with first-hand experience of the school.
You must select your role honestly when submitting a review. Reviews from anyone outside these categories will be removed.
2. What's allowed
- Honest descriptions of your or your family's experience.
- Constructive criticism of curriculum, facilities, or pastoral care.
- Praise where it is genuinely earned.
- Specific examples that illustrate a broader point.
3. What's not allowed
- Defamation. Do not make false statements of fact. Opinions are fine; fabricated facts are not.
- Identifying individuals.Do not name or describe specific staff members, students, or other parents in a way that could identify them. Roles (e.g. "the head of secondary") are acceptable; names are not.
- Conflicts of interest. Do not review a school you are employed by or own. Do not review a competitor school. Do not accept any payment, free service, or other consideration in exchange for a review.
- Bulk submissions or coordinated campaigns. Do not submit multiple reviews from related accounts or coordinate with others to influence ratings.
- Illegal, threatening, or hateful content. Do not post material that is illegal under Singapore law or the law of the country where the school operates, threatens harm, harasses individuals, or attacks groups based on protected characteristics.
- Spam and links. Do not post links, advertising, contact details, or referral codes.
4. Privacy and anonymity
Your identity is never displayed publicly, joined to your review in any public-facing query, or shared with the school. To preserve this for everyone, please do not include details in your review text that would identify you (for example, "I am the only X parent in Y cohort"). We will edit or remove reviews that breach this on our own initiative.
5. Moderation process
Every review is screened by automated checks at submission and by our editorial team on a rolling basis.
- Pre-publication holds. Reviews flagged at submission (e.g. for suspected conflicts of interest, hate speech, or named individuals) are held for human review before publication.
- Post-publication moderation.Published reviews can be flagged by anyone using the "Report" button. Our team reviews reports within five business days.
- Schools' right of reply. Schools can request factual corrections by emailing scholaris@paideiagamma.com. We do not remove or amend reviews on the basis of subjective disagreement.
- Legal requests. Where required by a binding legal order, we will comply. We do not remove reviews based on threats or unverified legal claims.
6. Editing and deletion
You can edit or delete your own reviews from your account at any time. Deleted reviews are removed from the public site immediately and from our database within 30 days.
7. Appeals
If we remove your review and you believe the removal was in error, email scholaris@paideiagamma.com with the school name and the date of submission. We will respond within ten business days.
