Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of scholaris.world (the "Service") operated by Paideia Gamma Pte Ltd, a Singapore-incorporated company ("Paideia Gamma," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You must provide a valid email address and verify it before posting reviews.

2. User content and review licence

You retain ownership of the reviews and other content you submit ("User Content"). By submitting User Content to the Service, you grant Paideia Gamma a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sublicensable, irrevocable licence to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, modify (for technical formatting only), and publicly perform that User Content for the purpose of operating, promoting, and improving the Service. This licence survives termination of your account to the extent necessary to maintain the integrity of published reviews. You waive any moral rights you may have in your User Content to the extent permitted by law.

3. Content standards

You agree not to submit User Content that:

• Is false, defamatory, misleading, or makes unverifiable claims of fact;
• Identifies individual staff, students, or families;
• Is submitted in exchange for payment, free services, or any other consideration;
• Is submitted by a person with an undisclosed conflict of interest (e.g. employees of the school being reviewed, or competitors of that school);
• Contains illegal, threatening, harassing, hateful, or sexually explicit material;
• Infringes any intellectual property right or violates any applicable law.

See our Review Guidelines for further detail. We may, at our sole discretion, remove, edit, or refuse to publish any User Content we believe violates these Terms.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to scrape, harvest, or mass-extract data without our written consent;
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to derive source code from the Service;
• Submit reviews using automated means or fake accounts;
• Attempt to deanonymise or correlate reviewer identities;
• Use the Service to harass, threaten, or harm any person.

5. School information

We compile school information from publicly available sources and our editorial review. While we work to keep the database accurate and up-to-date, the Service is provided on an "as is" basis and we make no warranties as to completeness or accuracy. Schools may request corrections by emailing scholaris@paideiagamma.com.

6. Intellectual property

Excluding User Content, all content on the Service — including the Scholaris name, logo, design system, structured database schema, and editorial copy — is owned by Paideia Gamma or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute such content without our prior written consent.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, Paideia Gamma disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that reviews represent the views of any particular family, student, or educator.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Paideia Gamma and its directors, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) one hundred Singapore dollars (SGD 100), or (b) the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Paideia Gamma from any claim or demand arising out of your User Content, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or our Review Guidelines, or if continued provision of the Service to you would expose us to legal liability. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately; provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including the User Content licence in Section 2 for already-published reviews, intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will survive.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have under your local law.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or by an in-product notice at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
